All processing happens locally in your browser. Adding a visible watermark does not provide copy protection, and exporting may remove original image metadata.

How to watermark a photo

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
  2. Select a text watermark or upload a logo image.
  3. Adjust the watermark position, size and opacity. For text, choose a colour.
  4. Review the preview, create the result and download it.

Text watermark or logo watermark?

A text watermark is useful for names, website addresses and simple copyright notices. A logo watermark is useful for consistent visual branding. For logos with transparent backgrounds, use PNG or WebP.

Where should I place a watermark?

A corner watermark keeps the main subject more visible. A centred watermark is more prominent but can obscure important details. Adjust opacity to balance readability and image appearance.

Does watermarking protect my copyright?

A visible watermark may help identify the creator, but it does not prevent copying, editing or removal. Copyright ownership and licensing depend on applicable law, not on whether an image has a watermark.

Privacy and quality

Both the base image and optional logo are processed locally. Exporting creates a new image and may alter compression, transparency and original metadata. Choose PNG or WebP when transparency matters; JPG uses an opaque background.
