Batch Remove Image Metadata

Clean common EXIF, GPS and other embedded metadata from multiple images at once. Process up to 12 JPG, PNG or WebP files locally and download each cleaned image or all successful results in a ZIP.

Choose up to 12 imagesJPG, PNG, WebP · 25 MB each · 100 MB total · Original formats retained

Images are processed sequentially in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Output is re-encoded and checked for common metadata structures, not for every possible private detail. Image quality, colour and file size can change.

How to remove metadata from multiple photos

  1. Drag in images or select up to 12 JPG, PNG or WebP files (25 MB per file, 100 MB combined).
  2. Click Remove metadata from all. Images are processed one at a time to reduce browser memory use.
  3. Check the status for each image. Failed files are reported without stopping the rest.
  4. Download files individually, or prepare and download a ZIP containing successfully cleaned images.

Why remove EXIF and GPS data in bulk?

Original photographs may contain capture times, device models, location coordinates, author information or editing details. Bulk metadata removal is useful when preparing photos for online listings, business websites, classroom submissions or public sharing. Not every image contains sensitive metadata, and some platforms remove metadata automatically.

What does ImgPocket remove and verify?

The tool decodes each image and exports new pixel data in the original file format. It then checks selected common metadata structures: JPEG APP1/APP13 and comments, PNG EXIF/text/time chunks, and WebP EXIF/XMP chunks. If a checked structure is found, that image is marked as failed and excluded from downloads. These checks are limited and are not a forensic privacy guarantee.

Will images look exactly the same?

Pixel dimensions are preserved. PNG and WebP support transparency; JPEG does not. Browser re-encoding can change file size, compression quality, colour rendering and other characteristics. Inspect important photos before distributing them.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Processing and ZIP creation run in your browser. The files are not uploaded to ImgPocket servers.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I process?

Up to 12 files per batch, with a 25 MB limit per image and 100 MB total input limit. Large images may require substantial device memory.

Does this remove visible private information?

No. Addresses, faces, signs, text and other clues visible in the image remain. Review the photo itself before sharing.

What happens if one file fails?

That image is marked as failed. The remaining files continue processing, and the ZIP includes only successful outputs.
